Surveen Chawla, who will be seen in Leena Yadav's 'Parched', opened up about a rather unpleasant experience. It seems that the popular TV actress, who transitioned into films with 'Hate Story 2', was asked for sexual favours by a South film director earlier in her career.
In an exclusive interview with TOI, the actress stated that she had never faced such 'sleazy' offers in the Hindi film industry so far but asked to 'compromise' during a short film career in South films.
According to Surveen, since the director didn't know Hindi he asked a friend to call her and make the offer with the promise that the arrangement would only last till the film's conclusion. Appalled by his apparent audacity the actress promptly refused to compromise.
Speaking further about her struggling days as an actress, Surveen Chawla recounted an experience, when her landlady evicted her for arriving at 2:00 AM after TV serial shoots.
Apart from 'Parched', Surveen Chawla is also a part of Anil Kapoor's TV series '24'. Before making her mark on television, she had also previously acted in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Punjabi films.
